Long summary[]
This chapter is set after StrikerS and corresponds to episode 27.5, after StrikerS Sound Stage 04 (episode 26.5) and StrikerS Sound Stage M3 (episode 27). Leti Lowran and Lindy Harlaown discuss Teana passing her Enforcer aide exam with distinction, while Subaru informs Ginga that she has been headhunted by the elite Gulf Special Rescue Unit. At lunch with other Forwards, Subaru reveals that the Special Rescue Unit has always been one of her dream jobs, and she even thought at first that Nanoha was its member (since only they could enter the burning Coastal Airport 8). However, she feels suddenly uncertain about answering their call.
Late in the evening, Subaru goes out for a jog and meets Nanoha, who encourages her to take up the Special Rescue Unit's offer. The next morning, Teana takes Subaru out for a walk and tells her that the reason she is afraid to leave Riot Force 6 is the fear that she'll no longer be able to protect her fellow Forwards, as well as Nanoha. However, Teana continues, she already protects them from afar, revealing that it was a memory of Subaru that got her through the hopeless fight against Nove, Wendi, and Deed. As for Nanoha, she says, Subaru is ten years too early even to worry about her.
Fast-forward to April 0076, the Riot Force 6 disbands. Fate tells Hayate that they will probably never gather together like this again, but Hayate replies that if there is ever a need for them, she will find a way (foreshadowing the creation of Special Duty Section 6 in Force). The chapter ends with the final mock battle between the Forwards and their Captains, and closes on a group photo of them afterwards.
