| The Epilogue of ACES + | Half a year after the [[Book of Darkness]] Incident ([[New Calendar|May-June 0066]]), [[Nanoha]], [[Fate]], and [[Hayate]] come to [[TSAB Headquarters]] to enlist as [[TSAB]] cadets, albeit in different departments. Fate has been adopted by [[Lindy Harlaown|Lindy]] and trains on ''[[Arthra]]'' to become an [[Enforcer]]; Hayate and her [[Wolkenritter|Knights]] have begun working for the Special Investigations Unit; and Nanoha aims to become a [[Aerial Tactical Instructor Corps|Combat Instructor]]. [[Amy Limietta|Amy]] and [[Mariel Atenza|Mariel]] inform Hayate that "version 8" of her new [[Device]], [[Schwertkreuz]], is almost finished, and Nanoha, that [[Raising Heart]]'s frame has been reinforced. Nanoha goes to pick her up and visits [[Yuuno]], who just started working for the [[Infinity Library]] and is being pressured by [[Chrono]] to speed up the reorganization. Nanoha and Yuuno talk about their first meeting and all the events that resulted from it, when [[Signum]] calls him, asking to set up a barrier for her training match against Fate. Before long, a team battle between [[Mid-Childa]]n [[mage]]s (Chrono, Fate, [[Arf]], Nanoha, and Yuuno) and [[Belka]]n knights (Hayate, Signum, [[Shamal]], [[Zafira]], and [[Vita]]) is organized. Lindy and [[Leti Lowran|Leti]] observe the battle and Leti wonders what kind of miracle allowed them to resolve the Book of Darkness Incident without any casualties. Meanwhile, in the training room, Nanoha and Fate prepare a combined attack, [[Blast Calamity]], but Hayate counters it with her own. The resulting explosion decimates the training barrier, prematurely ending the battle in a draw. |
| Even If It's Just Walking Together For A Bit + | The group arrives to [[Carnaaji]] and is greeted by their hosts. [[Einhard]] is introduced to [[Caro]], [[Erio]] and [[Garyu]]. As the adults go for a workout, [[Vivio]], [[Lio]], [[Corona]], [[Lutecia]] and Einhard swim in a nearby lake. Einhard soon discovers that she cannot keep up with others, which [[Nove]] explains with their years-long swimming training. After that, all six of them practice "water cutting", i.e. creating enormous water ripples with strike-like movements. After lunch, Einhard admits being slightly jealous of Vivio, since she has always been alone herself, but Vivio points out that it is not entire true anymore. Einhard agrees that she will walk with Vivio, even if they have to part ways eventually. Meanwhile, in Alpine's library, Lutecia finds [[Claus Ingvalt]]'s memoirs. |

| Fate Testarossa Takes Examination + | At some point between ''[[TOS|Nanoha]]'' and ''[[A's]]'', Fate takes her Contract [[Mage]] examination on [[Lindy Harlaown|Lindy]]'s recommendation. Her main examiner is Admiral [[Leti Lowran]], who browses through Fate's excellent academic record while she and Arf prepare for the first test, ritual weather control. Fate passes her first exam flawlessly and after an hour break takes the second one, in one-on-one combat. Her examiner in it is [[Chrono]] and Fate resolves to win against him. After a quick exchange of ranged attacks, Fate manages to get behind Chrono but before she can attack, she is captured by his [[:Special:Ask/-5B-5BCategory:Spells-5D-5D-20-5B-5Bspell-20category::Capture-5D-5D-20-5B-5Bspell-20type::Bind-5D-5D|Bind]]-type spell and loses. Fate believes she has failed the exam, but Chrono explains that she wasn't expected to win, just to perform to the best of her abilities. Thus, she enters the third and final stage of the exam, a team battle with Arf, which she completes perfectly, earning the title of an AAA-[[rank]]ed Contract Mage. |
| Feelings of the Knight of the Iron Hammer + | [[Nanoha]] drives [[Vita]] home after an exhausting day at work. On the way, Vita falls asleep and dreams of her many "pasts" as a [[Wolkenritter|Guardian Knight]] of the [[Book of Darkness]] and her and other Knights' liberation by [[Hayate]], arriving to the conclusion that they must be living in the future that the great people of the past fought hard to achieve. When they arrive to the [[Yagami]] house, Nanoha is introduced to [[Miura Rinaldi]], who is training under [[Zafira]] and [[Signum]]. |
| Final Limit + | The final [[limiter]] of the dangerous [[Blaster System]] upgrade for [[Raising Heart]] is released, and [[Nanoha]] shoots through [[the Saint's Cradle]], defeating [[Quattro]]. [[Vivio]] temporarily regains control of herself, and Nanoha manages to defeat her and cause her to regain her senses. While the Cradle has lost its operator and had its main power source destroyed, it still continues to rise with Nanoha, [[Vita]], [[Hayate]], and [[Vivio]] inside, prompting the people on the ground to rescue them. |

| Hayate Yagami Thinks About Nowadays + | This chapter presumably takes place between episodes [[It Was a Small Wish (Part 2)|06]] and [[A Tragic Resolve Is the Courageous Decision|08]] of ''[[A's]]'' and is narrated by [[Hayate]]. It opens with her at home alone with the [[Book of Darkness]] when [[Suzuka]] comes to visit her. The [[Wolkenritter]] have explained their daily absense with mundane activities (like [[Signum]]'s [[wikipedia:kendo|kendo]] practice) but Hayate still feels saddened by it and the Book tries to cheer her up. Meanwhile, the Knights are actually hunting [[magic]]al creatures on other worlds for their [[Linker Core]]s. While Hayate is still chatting with Suzuka, [[Shamal]] and [[Vita]] return but the Book leaves the house to meet Signum, who has collected six Cores (in addition to Vita's four and Shamal and Zafira's three) for her. Signum promises her to save Hayate and is contacted by Shamal, who comes to [[heal]] her wounds and take her home. |
| Hegemon + | [[Heidi E. S. Ingvalt|Heidi]] introduces herself as a proper user of "[[Kaiser Arts]]" and demands to know where [[Vivio]] and [[Ixpellia]] are but [[Nove]] refuses to tell her. Heidi then challenges Nove to a fight, which she accepts, almost landing the first hit with a surprise attack. She then casts her [[Barrier Jacket]] with [[Jet Edge]] and suggests that Heidi joins a training center, to which she replies that her ambition is to "kill all great kings whose weakness endangers Belka". Nove attacks in rage, reminding her that [[Belka]] no longer exists, but is bound by Heidi's [[Counter Bind]] and knocked out with a single hit. Heidi then utters "Weakness is a sin" and walks away, leaving Nove unconscious on the ground. |

| Hereafter of the Aces + | The chapter takes place on [[New Calendar|January 4, 0066]], a few days after the [[Stand By, Ready|final episode]] of ''[[A's]]''. The [[Book of Darkness]] Incident has been resolved within a month (December 0065), mainly thanks to the two aces, [[Nanoha]] and [[Fate]], who are now relaxing at home and discussing the upcoming two night trip (described in [[A's Sound Stage 03]]). They talk about [[Hayate]] and her [[Wolkenritter|Knights]] and admit that they feel troubled by [[Reinforce]]'s "[[seal|death]]" at their hands. Hayate calls from the [[TSAB Headquarters]] and arranges to have lunch with them. The Knights are with her but cannot come along since they still have interviews and examinations with the [[Bureau]]. Nanoha and Fate come over to Hayate's apartment and help her make lunch. After they sit down for a cup of tea, Hayate reveals to blame herself for the entire incident. Nanoha and Fate comment on how responsible Hayate has become and Nanoha suggests that Hayate's personality may have melded with Reinforce's. Hayate bursts into tears and tries to stop herself but Nanoha and Fate hug her and tell her that it's OK to cry for a lost friend. |
| Hotel Augusta (episode) + | The [[Riot Force 6]] monitors and provides security for the [[Hotel Augusta]], where works of art, including [[Lost Logia]], are up for auction. Teams Stars and Lightning face [[Gadget Drone]]s, and another [[summon]]er who has ties to Dr. [[Scaglietti]]. Feeling inadequate compared to the strength of many of the other Riot Force 6 members, [[Teana]] tries a dangerous tactic to prove her worth, and almost hits [[Subaru]]. |
| Hückebein (chapter) + | The chapter opens with [[Signum]] and [[Agito]] inspecting the ruins on [[Ruwella]] where [[Thoma]] met [[Lily]], reaffirming their intent to capture the suspect at all costs. Out in the forests, Thoma and Lily explain their situation to [[Isis]]. Thoma plans to ensure Lily's safety and then contact "Su-chan", who is a [[TSAB]] member. He then inadvertently summons the [[Divider]] again but Lily explains how to dismiss it, though she doesn't know much more. Before the girls fall asleep, Thoma explains that he has been traveling to find clues about criminals who destroyed his village on [[Vaizen]] seven years ago. Back at the ruins, Agito reports to [[Teana]], who comments that Thoma is unlikely one of "[[Hückebein]]". Signum notes that she feels almost like before a battle. The next morning, Thoma, Lily, and Isis reach a [[Saint Church]] but Thoma detects the smell of blood and enters it alone. Inside, he finds bodies of three dead nuns and a [[Veyron|strange man]] sitting on the altar with a Divider nearby. The man orders him to hand over "Divider and Reactor", while Thoma realizes that he bears the same tattoo as the ones who destroyed his village. |

| An Important Experience + | [[Teana]] wakes up in the infirmary many hours after being on the receiving end of [[Nanoha]]'s attack. She and the other young recruits learn about Nanoha's past and how she almost died several years ago on a mission due to having overextended herself, causing Teana to understand Nanoha's training methods. |

In the meantime, [[Thoma]] and [[Lily]] arrive to the [[Port Town]], [[Ruwella]]. Thoma stops at [[Isis Eaglet]]'s shop to buy clothes for Lily, hastily leaving when Isis notices their Rings. After they leave, Isis is questioned about Thoma by the police, who suspect he is involved in a "theft" case at the mines. Isis rushes off to warn them and although Thoma effectively admits being a thief, leads them out through a back alley before the police arrives. After a formal introduction, the trio decides to travel together. |

| Many Things Happened In The Past + | [[Vivio]] explains to [[Fate]] that just changing into her [[Adult Mode|adult form]] is different from the [[Sankt Kaiser]] transformation and that [[Nanoha]] allowed it because [[magic]]al training is easier in the adult form. Nanoha and Vivio then go out for a magic exercise. Fate, at home, calls [[Caro]] and [[Erio]] who reassure her that Vivio using her adult form is nothing bad. Outside, Nanoha makes Vivio promise her to never use her adult form for fun and mischief, which Vivio readily accepts. Meanwhile, at the [[Nakajima]] residence, the family discusses Vivio's progress. The next morning, [[Nove]] and Vivio go to visit [[Ixpellia]], who is still asleep at the [[Saint Church]]. |

After breakfast, the two teams meet up on the training grounds and [[Nove]] explains the rules: each of the twelve mages is assigned virtual [[wikipedia:hit points|hit points]], and successful magical attacks reduce them until he or she is out of the game. Everyone casts their [[Barrier Jacket]]s, and [[Megane]], who observes the battle with [[Garyu]], [[Fried]] and [[Sein]], gives the sign to begin. The match opens with the teams evenly matched: [[Subaru]] vs. Nove, [[Vivio]] vs. [[Einhard]], [[Rio]] vs. Corona, [[Fate]] vs. [[Erio]], Lutecia vs. [[Caro]], and [[Teana]] vs. [[Nanoha]]. Subaru and Nove are a match for each other, so it is Vivio who draws the "first blood" but Einhard quickly gets even. Meanwhile, Rio chases Corona to an open space, where the latter summons a [[Golem]] to fight for her. |
