Kurt Grendel (カート・グレンデル Kāto Gurenderu) is the head of the Grendel family first introduced in Force.

In Force

Kurt was born in a destroyed city in somewhere in the Midchilda along with Lolo Endive and Mariya Ranevskaya since childhood, as mention by Cinque and Kurt himself.

In Force (ch.22), Kurt attacks Special Duty Section 6 along other Grendel family members, but is knocked out by Teana Lanster. Upon their arrest and interrogation, Kurt reveals that their employer implanted them with an self-destruction mechanism that would kill him if he tried to reveal said employer's identity. However, Kurt was able to contort his body in such a way that the ensuing explosion would not be lethal to him, so he is able to reveal that his employer is Hades Vandein and survive. He then attempts to escape from custody with the rest of his family, but Nanoha promptly intercepts and re-apprehends them all.

In Force (ch.31), Nanoha and Cinque attempt to appeal to the Grendels' conscience and enlist their help in apprehending other Eclipse Drivers and helping fellow Eclipse infectees. While Kurt refuses outright, on the ground that cooperating with law enforcement would cost him his self-esteem, he gives Quinn Garland his permission to do so, despite her objections.

Powers

Kurt wields a lesser-type Divider (coded "Divider-VGxx"), Replica Divider similar to Divider-VC11, as weapon. He also has an ability to teleport items he considers his own to his location from anywhere.
