"Klarwind" means "Clear Wind" in German. Despite the official spelling is "Klarwind", some translations render its name as "Klarer Wind", which means the same thing in proper German.
Klarwind is first introduced in the A's manga prologue, and is featured prominently in A's, StrikerS manga, and StrikerS, usually accompanying Shamal whenever she appears. However, as Shamal does not do much is StrikerS, neither does Klarwind.
Contrary to its classification, Klarwind does not bear a Cartridge System and is seldom used for direct combat, but can create portals, function as a mobile phone, and perform assist-type magics like healing allies.
In the Movie continuity, Klarwind first appears in The MOVIE 2nd A's.
