Asclepius (アスクレピオス Asukurepiosu) is Lutecia Alpine's Boost Device, nearly identical to Kerykeion, but with purple jewels instead of pink ones. As revealed in StrikerS concept art, Asclepius originally belonged to Megane Alpine and after her "death", was presumably given to her daughter by Jail Scaglietti.

EtymologyEdit

Named after the symbol of the Greek demigod of medicine, see Rod of Asclepius.

AppearancesEdit

Asclepius first appears in StrikerS, and then in ViVid, when Lutecia joins the training battles and prepares for the coming Inter-Middle competition.

It was originally used by Megane, primarily for casting assist-type magic. Before Asclepius was given to Lutecia, Quattro optimized it for summoning magic.[2]

Asclepius was overloaded and damaged when Lutecia went berserk, while being controlled by Quattro during the battle against Erio and Caro.

FormsEdit

Asclepius' ordinary form is a pair of purple and black gloves that look like Kerykeion. This seems to be both its active and standby form, since Lutecia wears it in day-to-day life in StrikerS. Even in the setup scene in ViVid, it appears as a pair of gloves alongside other devices in their standby forms.

"Limit Release" of the Device is available in StrikerS, but that is likely an output limiter, used to hide Lutecia from the Bureau, rather than a new form or function.
